There is a fine line between wanting to change something about yourself and having low self esteem. Many Americans wish they could be taller, shorter, or have more money. just to name a few. Having a negative or hateful view of yourself is typically associated with low self esteem and is more serious. Those suffering from low self esteem generally look at themselves and others negatively, lack confidence, and perform poorly. Trying to figure out what percent of the population suffers from low self esteem is nearly impossible as low self esteem is related to many other emotional issues.

Stress can cause many problems with people both physically and emotionally. There are many causes of stress and many different reactions to stress and it is important to look at both of those.

The public has spoken, they want healthy choices and America has responded! Being healthy and offering healthy choices has become a new trend not only in local cities but all over America and they aren’t going anywhere. Almost every restaurant is offering healthy options and disclosing their top secret nutritional information. Public schools are replacing soda machines and recreating the cafeteria food. Positive attitudes toward exercise and multi-fold benefits are being implemented at gyms. Organic foods and local markets are giving big chains a run for their money in many towns across America as well. It’s time to change our country, for the better!

Watching TV and driving can be considered a hypnotic state. A hypnotic state might sound easy to achieve when you think of it that way, however it can be very difficult to produce on command. It requires practice, training and time. It is not impossible to achieve this state on command once you learn how to do it properly. There are many ways to learn hypnosis, the internet offers products which teach you hypnosis, however you may find it best to try a few private sessions before committing to buy one of these programs.

There are many forms of drug and alcohol abuse. Some people binge drink while others drink just to get though the day or to cure their hang over from the previous night. Same with drugs, some abuse street drugs while others take excessive amounts of prescription pills but yet feel it is ok to take the prescription pills since they were prescribed. Whatever your choice of addiction is, they have one thing in common, low self esteem.

For all the reasons people gain weight, there are just as many reasons to lose weight. According to the CDC, in 2006 only four states had a prevalence of obesity less than 20%. Obesity is at an all time high in America and beyond and the reasons for this epidemic are endless. There are many reasons people gain weight, it could be snacking, portion issues, or food addiction.

Living on less than $18.00 a day for a family of four is insanely difficult alone, but now add living healthy on $18.00 a day and it becomes near impossible. This is the challenge families on food stamps are confronted with daily. In 2006 impoverished states such as Alabama, West Virginia and Louisiana have had growing rates of obesity. For example in 2006 Mississippi was the first state to have 30% obesity among its population according to WebMd.com. USA Today reports five of the poorest states were in the top ten most obese states (Mississippi, Kentucky, Louisiana, West Virginia and Alabama) showing a direct link between income and obesity. USA Today also explains, poverty areas are generally unsafe, have few grocery stores which offer fruits and vegetables, and many housing developments in these areas are not built with sidewalks for exercise. All of these contribute to the obesity epidemic.

When the term ‘hypnosis tools’ is mentioned, what comes up immediately on your mind is most likely the rocking pendulum. While the pendulum might be one of the hypnosis tools used in the process of the induction of hypnosis, the term ‘hypnosis tools’ has a different meaning. Instead, the term refers to the different ways in which hypnosis is actually used. For example, as a form of therapy to eliminate unwanted habits such as overeating, drinking or smoking.

Obesity rates among the poor reached a 147% increase in 2002 obesity according to medicinenet.com. This made those at the poverty level the fastest growing obesity group. Being obese for those at the poverty line is due to make circumstances which are out of their control. Some of the more common reasons why this group is so obese can be attributed to lack of exercise, food choices and no access to health food stores or supermarkets.
